Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin treatment using a pen-like modality with fine needles that create microscopic punctures in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Who should skip this service?
- Due to the topical numbing cream, if you are pregnant or nursing we recommend waiting to book this service. Instead try our non-invasive Dermaplaning Facial or Nanoneedling Facial!
- Those who are experiencing active acne, cold sores, severe eczema, dermatitis (i.e. perioral dermatitis) or hypersensitive skin. We recommend sticking to our classic facials as microneedling is a mildly invasive service.
- Anyone experiencing a fungal infection or fungal acne (i.e folliculitis, acne that itches).
How frequently should I book this service?
- The number of sessions needed is dependent on your skin type, concerns and a variety of other factors.
- Our estheticians can help determine how many sessions are needed to reach maximum results based on your specific skin needs.
- If multiple sessions are needed, we offer packages!

How to prepare for your appointment
Avoid
Blood thinning agents (i.e. fish oil, Omega-3, Vitamin E) for 1 week priorShaving and/or waxing the day of your appointment
Sun exposure, tanning beds, UV rays 24 hours prior
Taking any anti-inflammatory medications for 3 days prior to treatment
IPL/Laser procedures and/or sunburn for 2 weeks prior
Botox treatments for 1 week prior
Discontinue
Use of Accutane (Isotretinoin) 6 months prior
Use of retinoids, topical antibiotics, exfoliants, acids (AHA’s, BHA’s), hydroquinone and benzoyl peroxide acne products 5-7 days prior
Auto-immune therapies or products 12 hours prior
